After over two decades, in 1995, when the hospital was finding its existence almost in doldrums Dr. E.K. Ramachandran specialised in Paediatrics, plunged forth to take up the reins of the hospital. Dr. M. Sujatha his life partner and a qualified Gynaecologist also joined in this venture. For the duo the challenges offered by the hospital was an opportunity to serve the people in and around chettuwa. Day in and day out they breathed life and vitality to the limited facility they had at their disposal. Never to give up to the challenges confronted, they moved in unison with confidence and sense of purpose. Very soon the poor people could find within the premises of the hospital a solace to their problems. The medical staff in the hospital were like angel- guardians for their needs.
A decade of full-time service and dedication aided by the wholesome co-operation and encouragement of the general public around, catapulted the hospital to state of healthy and confident existence.
By now the failing health of the owner of the hospital forced him to take a decision to sell his stakes in the hospital. In 2006, the ownership of the hospital passed over to the Hrudaya Health Care Pvt. Ltd . Both Dr. E.K. Ramachandran and Dr. M. Sujatha were the directors of the company.
Changing with time is more a necessity than luxury. As far as our hospital is concerned with the foregoing analysis of its emergence, activities and prospects, that there need a structured revolution to cope up with and meet the growing needs of its users and the general public at large. More expansion and proliferation of its spheres of activity and service warrant a better building and ambience along with modern and advanced medical and other infra structure. With this thought in mind we have completed the present new block and the hospital is renamed as Phoenix Medicity.
